(Little Rock) " The new federal cigarette tax, an additional 62 cents-per-pack, amounts to nothing more than a "Redistribution of Health" according to author Corey Deitz.

"The far-left decided a long time ago that the ‘pursuit of happiness’ does not include nicotine," writes Deitz in his latest book, Vilified!

According to Deitz, "Earlier this year the Democratic-controlled U.S. Congress raised the excise tax on cigarettes to fund expansion of the SCHIP program to cover an additional 4 million children with federal health insurance. In effect, the Democrats employ a 'Redistribution of Health' concept by encouraging smokers to provide the tax base for another plan aimed at helping people whom they prefer."

Deitz, a former smoker, says the left vilifies cigarette users. "If they could, they would probably tar and feather all smokers - as long as the tar came from Marlboros," he writes.

Corey Deitz is the author of the new book, Vilified! Red Meat for Conservatives From a Guy Who’s Got a Lot of Beefs which is available in paperback and eBook versions at the book’s website.

Corey Deitz is available for interviews and review copies are available to working media.
